It feels like we have been waiting forever to see it.

Now, the next generation of Chevrolet's legendary full-size pickup has finally been revealed. The all-new 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 arrives with completely redesigned exterior styling, an extensively reworked cabin, expanded digital technology and renewed capability across the lineup.

From the premium High Country to the off-road-ready Trail Boss and ZR2, the new Silverado remains unmistakably Chevrolet--only sharper, smarter and more commanding than before.

Bold From Every Angle

The 2027 Silverado introduces a fresh exterior while preserving the strong, upright proportions that have always defined a Chevrolet truck.

The front end features a more sculpted appearance, distinctive lighting signatures and unique grille treatments across the lineup. Around back, redesigned vertical lighting gives the Silverado a more modern presence, while familiar practical touches--including integrated bumper steps--remain part of the package.

Each version carries its own personality:

High Country brings a more refined and premium appearance.

Trail Boss combines aggressive styling with factory-equipped off-road capability.

ZR2 sits at the top of the off-road lineup with its widest stance, specialized suspension hardware and unmistakably rugged design.

A Completely Reimagined Interior

The transformation continues inside.

Every 2027 Silverado is expected to feature a new technology-focused dashboard anchored by a 16.3-inch centre infotainment display and a 12.2-inch digital driver display. High Country and ZR2 models also introduce an available 11.5-inch front-passenger display, bringing the total available digital display area beyond 60 inches.

Despite the larger screens, Chevrolet has retained physical controls for frequently used functions, including climate, towing and four-wheel-drive settings. That means more technology without hiding everything three menus deep--a small victory for common sense.

The ZR2 and High Country have a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and an 11.5-inch front-passenger screen.

The Next Generation of Silverado Power

Chevrolet has confirmed that the next-generation Silverado will usher in a new era of small-block V8 performance, while familiar TurboMax and Duramax options are expected to remain part of the lineup.

Final Canadian power, torque, towing, payload and fuel-economy figures have not yet been released. The new V8 engines are expected to emphasize improved torque, towing performance, efficiency and long-term durability.

Reported powertrain options include:

  • Updated TurboMax turbocharged four-cylinder
  • 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel
  • Next-generation 5.7L small-block V8
  • Next-generation 6.6L small-block V8
  • Ten-speed automatic transmission
